The Yamaha SBP2F5 Stage Custom Birch Drum Shell Pack sets a new standard for value and sound. As with its predecessor introduced in 1995, this new version features 100% birch wood shells, which are a classic for high-end drum kits. The six-ply structure of the shells accurately conveys vibrations, providing a rich, resonant sound that outperforms others in its class.

The kit includes the patented Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System, YESS. This system minimizes contact between hardware and the shell, connecting at the nodal point to prevent interference with shell vibration. This design allows toms to be placed close together and simplifies quick head changes. For floor toms, the YESS system ensures wide sustain while maintaining stability. The original ball mount and clamp offer non-slip positioning for toms and allow for easy tuning of the bottom head by simply rotating the drum. The die-cast claw hooks with rubber insertion plates reduce unwanted noise. Additionally, the bass drum legs are equipped with stoppers to make setup easier.
