The engineers behind RCF Precision drivers developed new molds and specific magnet sizes to optimize magnetic flux while maintaining low weight. The magnetic circuit topology of the 15” driver with 3” voice coil combines high performance and perfect balance in three specific areas: consistent magnetic flux with high integrity in the air gap, low distortion, and an efficient integrated magnetic circuit design that reduces weight. The optimized T-pole design minimizes flux modulation in the magnet assembly during typical voice coil movement in the air gap. With a power of 2200 W, our Class D amplifier can generate extreme sound pressure levels with an ultra-fast attack, ensuring a realistic response on transients, with very low heating. Its energy efficiency is such that it does not require ventilation. The amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heatsink at the rear of the cabinet, with no moving parts. The stereo input circuit, equipped with an active filter (crossover), is of a new design, ensuring low distortion. A sophisticated limiter preserves the naturalness of the input signal, whatever its level. All RCF amplifiers are designed according to the EN62368-1 standard for maximum safety, and their switching power supply combines high efficiency with minimal weight.
