Remember that single cutaway guitar with “Spider” graphic that we all have seen with Kirk Hammett during Metallica’s historical “Black Album” tour? To mark that guitar’s 30th anniversary, ESP/LTD is now recreating it for loyal fans of Metallica and Kirk; with new features, and a price that is within the reach of more and more metalheads. The LTD KH-3 “Spider” guitar features a single cutaway Alder body, in the vein of ESP’s famous Eclipse model (also having a 24/75″ scale length). Despite having a single cutaway, upper fret access is still unrestricted; thanks to neck-thru-body construction, sculpted heel, and fretboard scallops from the 17th to the 24th fret. The 3-piece maple neck with Kirk’s custom “Extra Thin U” neck profile provides a super fast feel and playability. And of course, adorning the KH-3 are the famed “Spider” graphic on the body, and the mix of Kirk’s signature Skull & Crossbones and Spider fretboard inlays.
