All installation modules except LM 3 feature a status LED ring normally powered off the phantom supply voltage. When the microphone has been correctly connected and the system and phantom power switched on, the LED ring will glow at medium brightness. Thus, the sound system operator will know at a glance which microphones have been installed correctly. Note that in this configuration the LED ring only indicates the system is ready to operate (NOT that the microphone is open!). The user may deactivate the LED ring. This allows you for the first time to select status indicator modes without having to buy a new microphone.

The GN ESP gooseneck modules are available in three different lengths: 15cm (6in); 30cm (12in) and 50cm (20in). The electronic circuit design provides high immunity to radio-frequency interference.

The extremely slim and rugged gooseneck modules feature an LED ring which indicates whether the phantom power is on or off. A special light-ring expander comes with every DAM+ gooseneck module to improve the visibility of the LED ring if necessary.
