The Soundcraft Standard Vi Stagebox is an advanced audio I/O unit designed to deliver exceptional flexibility and high-quality audio capture for Vi-series mixing consoles. It comes equipped with 64 analog mic/line inputs and 32 analog line outputs, featuring 48V phantom power and a 100Hz high-pass filter applied before the A/D conversion for optimal signal integrity.
Each mic preamp gain can be remotely controlled directly from the mixing console, streamlining live or broadcast workflows. The stagebox also offers modular expansion capabilities: optional AES/EBU digital input/output modules are available in groups of 8, alongside interface cards for widely used digital audio formats such as Dante, BluLink, CobraNet, Aviom A-Net16, and Ethersound.
For larger or more complex setups, up to five Vi stageboxes can be linked together to form a comprehensive digital patchbay. This setup enables the user to assign any of the 128 console input channels from sources across the connected stageboxes, enhancing routing flexibility in live production environments.
