The Soundcraft Vi600 Control Module Upgrade Kit is engineered to replace the original Vi6 “silver box” control module, offering a substantial performance boost and extended lifespan for legacy mixing consoles. This module features a faster processor and durable, hard-soldered DisplayLink-based graphics outputs, eliminating the less-reliable PCI graphics card used in the earlier system.

Running a streamlined version of the V6.x software platform, the Vi600 upgrade introduces many features from the Vi000-series while being tailored to the hardware limits of Vi2/4/6 surfaces and Local Racks. It brings new life to existing setups, allowing a Vi6 console to function effectively as a backup or remain in use even when transitioning to a Vi5/7000 system.

Externally, the control surface retains the Vi6 form factor, but internally it identifies as Vi600. A similar upgrade path is also available for Vi2 consoles, which then identify as Vi200. Users benefit from faster system boot (30 seconds), smoother surface response, enhanced metering, EQ and dynamics through ViSi Remote, console mirroring, and broader software compatibility moving forward.

This upgrade ensures the console can continue serving professional audio environments with modern capabilities while retaining compatibility with both classic and newer Soundcraft Local Rack systems.
