The Sennheiser e965 is large-diaphragm, handheld condenser microphone designed for vocal applications. It offers a 1″ dual-diaphragm capsule that can give you both cardioid and supercardioid polar patterns. The highly directional nature of the supercardioid pattern is an effective deterrent against acoustic feedback onstage. The mic also offers a high-pass filter to eliminate rumble and a switchable -10 dB pad. With the pad engaged, the mic can handle a startling 152 dB SPL, which is truly loud. It captures frequencies between 40 Hz and 20 kHz. The mic, which requires phantom power to operate, includes a carrying pouch and a mic clip.
