The Behringer P16HQ Personal In‑Ear Monitoring System is a professional 16-channel personal monitor mixer designed to give performers complete control over their individual monitor mixes during live performances and studio sessions. Developed by Behringer, the P16HQ is part of the Powerplay personal monitoring ecosystem, enabling musicians to customize their own headphone or in-ear monitor mix without affecting the front-of-house sound.

The system receives up to 16 channels of digital audio via Ultranet networking, allowing each performer to independently adjust volume, pan, EQ, and balance for every channel. With 16 backlit channel buttons and an intuitive control interface, users can quickly build and recall personalized monitor mixes for different songs or performances.

The P16HQ features a high-quality 114 dB D/A converter and improved headphone amplifier, delivering clean, powerful audio output suitable for both in-ear monitors and professional headphones. It also includes per-channel EQ, solo/mute controls, and a built-in limiter to protect hearing and maintain consistent sound levels.

Designed for flexible stage setups, the mixer connects through a single CAT5e Ultranet cable, which carries power, control, and audio signals simultaneously. This simplifies cabling and allows multiple units to be daisy-chained or connected to distribution hubs such as the P16-D for larger monitoring systems.
