The perfect blend of features and sound quality
The latest turntable in an award-winning line gives you the perfect balance of features and sound quality. It’s ideal as a way in to vinyl or for those already with a cherished collection. For the best sound quality, the LP5X is fully manual and comes fitted with top quality Audio Technica arm and cartridge. Unlike more basic decks, however, there’s a USB output, built-in phonostage and 3-speed switching.
Latest AT cartridge
The LP5X also benefits from being fitted with the latest Audio Technica cartridge. Featuring an elliptical stylus, the Audio Technica AT-VM95E is a great upgrade over standard cartridges. Compared to more basic conical cartridges, the elliptical stylus on the VM95E literally gets deeper into the groove – pulling out more music.
Three speeds – including 78
As well as 33 and 45 records, the LP5X is now compatible with 78s. Simply swap over the stylus for an AT-VMN95SP (available as a cost option) and you’ve a deck perfectly set for 78s.
Archive your records to PC or Mac via USB
With its USB output, hooking the Audio Technica LP5 to your PC or Mac is a moment’s work. Connect the deck to your PC or Mac, use the supplied Audacity software and you can record all your vinyl to MP3. From here, the choice is yours. Load them on to your MP3 player or NAS drive, record on to CD or just have the records archived on your computer – whatever your choice, your LPs are now more accessible than ever before.
Built-in phono stage
Audio Technica have made it easy to hook up the LP5X to your existing system. A built-in phono stage means you don’t have to have a hi-fi with a phono pre-amp built-in – any AUX input will work fine. Alternatively, switch the built-in phonostage off and use your existing one.
